Payment Options

Agia Sophia Academy operates solely on revenues received from tuition and fundraising.  Tuition rates are established by the school board and are based on the budgetary requirements of the school.  Therefore timely tuition payments are required.  Parents have two options for tuition payments:

1.      Payment in full by September 1, 2007 (4% discount applies)

2.      Monthly payments due by the 5th of each month in 10 equal amounts starting Sept 1st.

Tuition accounts become past due on the 15th of the month.  Past due accounts of 30 days will automatically generate a review. The school reserves the right to withhold grade reports and or deny a student enrollment in the following semester for accounts delinquent more than 60 days (unless specific written payment arrangements have been made).

Deposits and Fees

  1. A New Family Registration Fee (non-refundable) of $250.00 is required for the first student of a new family applying to ASA. A New Student Registration Fee (non-refundable) of $50.00 is required for a new child of a currently registered family. An application will not be considered until these fees are paid.  Pre-K students applying for the Primer grade are considered new students and are required to pay the new student fee.  This fee serves as a binder for a student’s space and helps us plan for next year.
  2. A Student Book/Activity fee of $350.00 per student (K thru 6th) is due prior to the start of the school and will be included on the September 1st billing.
  3. A non-refundable Tuition deposit fee of $250.00 per family (including returning students) is required by the first of June and will be applied to the September 1st billing.

Tuition Assistance

Every family registered in the school is eligible for tuition assistance if available.  The school board works continually to balance the needs of parents with the budgetary needs of the school.  The school board will strive to make tuition assistance available and parents are encouraged to meet with the school’s Principal for an application and more information.  Every family should know however that we cannot fund a total educational packet for their children.  Our commitment is to work with the parents who recognize that they too must make a financial commitment so that their children may benefit from our outstanding program.

Development Program

Agia Sophia Academy ’s Board is responsible for fundraising programs.  These programs ensure the school’s financial stability, help regulate tuition rates, and support growth.  Parents are expected to contribute time, treasures, and talents, to ensure the success of these programs.  For example, parents are expected to participate in the SCRIP program. In addition, parents are expected to provide the school with volunteer hours.
