MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION POLICY
September 1, 2008

Prescription medication:

If a student must take prescription medication during school hours, the medication must be stored in the school office, accompanied by a note from the responsible parent/guardian giving ASA permission to administer the medication. The medication will be administered in the office by office staff or by the Headmaster.

Non-prescription medication:

A student needing non-prescription medication from time to time must go to the office and seek permission to do so. A phone call will be made to the responsible parent/guardian seeking permission to administer a non-prescription medication to the student. If approved by the parent/guardian, the medication will be administered in the office by office staff or by the Headmaster.

No medications of any kind will be administered in the classroom or shared between students.
